  • Q:

    Can you scan documents and photos?

    A:

    Yes, we can. If there is no electronic file available, you can send us your original artwork and we can scan and convert them to use in you graphic design layout.

  • Q:

    Do you accept PC format?

    A:

    Yes, as long as the application is cross-platform with Macintosh. Programs such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Quark are all acceptable in either PC or Mac.

  • Q:

    What are your design costs?

    A:

    Generally speaking, we charge very little for our custom designs. All of our products do carry minimal design charges based on the piece, ranging from $15 for simple things to $150 for more complex requirements. For special design projects, like print ad creation or other such requests, our hourly rate is $65 and most of our designs are completed in 1-3 hours. We can quote specific pricing on your project at the time you place your order, but we do not overcharge our clients for our exceptional design skills, we just want you to be happy with the finished product.

    How do I send you my artwork, graphics or other items you will need for my orders?

    A:

    You may email us your files, up to 10MB in size, to info@onestepservices.com. For files larger than 10MB and up to 2GB, we have an online file delivery service that we will supply you the upload link to.

    What is your turn-around time when I order printed pieces?

    A:

    We like to think that we are the best in the business when it comes to speed. You will receive a proof to sign off before going to print and, once you do, we submit your files to our production team and the process is begun. Depending on the piece, turnaround can take as little as 24hrs. For large run production pieces, like our custom postcard programs, it could be up to two weeks before the finished product is ready, but we have other ways of getting you temporary pieces even in that instance.

    If I always use the same mail piece design, won’t my target audience get tired of it?

    A:

    Well, we are actually hoping that they do…in a way. Your custom image is your brand. Think of companies like McDonalds, Coca-Cola and Budweiser. They, and all of the rest of the major companies, have one thing in common: they don’t change what works. Your brand is what will make you memorable, and memorable is what will make the phone ring. We believe that changing the message is important, that’s why we leave ourselves room on your custom designs to re-imprint a different message on them every time they are mailed out. But, the image it is presented on is where your brand recognition comes from and that is why we encourage you to love your design and then grow with it forever.

    I’ve done Direct Mail before, why did I not get the response I was hoping for?

    A:

    How many times did you mail? What was the image you used? Did you just send out one massive mailer hoping that a bunch of people would call you? You see the same commercials played on T.V. and the same ads in magazines, newspapers, don’t you? This is no different. You’ve got to constantly remind the consumer of who you are and what you sell, and that means repetitive marketing to the same core group of candidates.

    What About Mailing Lists?

    A:

    We have many resources available for you to purchase specialized mailing lists for your business if you do not already have one. We can import a list you provide to us for a mailing and we also offer data entry service to create one.

    Can I Have The Print Designs You Create?

    A:

    Yes, we offer agency services for the acquisition of your printed materials. Once we have a finalized preliminary design, we will act as you agent in the purchase of printed materials, no matter what the product. If your designs will be mailed, we will have your printed pieces delivered to our mailing house division and handle the addressing and postal processing as well. The time it takes to receive printed materials varies depending on the product selected, realizing that quick turnaround is a must for many of our jobs!

    Where Do I Begin?

    A:

    That’s the easy part, we begin for you. All it takes is one phone call, we can set up a meeting or we can gather information from you so that we can recommend the best possible course of action for you to take.
