Our turnaround time for direct mail is typically 1-3 business days after a sign-off has been received. Depending on the scope of the job, additional time may be required. Also, we reserve the right to take up to 5 to 7 business days if there are issues beyond our control. Please account for USPS delivery times as well which we have no control over, unfortunately.
*NOTE: We do not guarantee that your mail will go out in 1-3 business days. This is an approximation based on the average amount of pieces we typically process per month. Of course, we understand the urgency of getting the pieces mailed out and will always try our best to ensure they are mailed out as quickly as possible.
Our turnaround time for non-mailed products varies considerably depending on the quantity, paper, finish options and other factors related to the commercial printing of your product. While we strive to complete jobs within a day or two of approval from you to go to print, there are times when your product may be delayed due the complexity of the job or factors out of our control. If timing is an issue, we encourage you to speak to our Customer Service staff before the order is placed so we can do our best to accommodate your needs.
PROOFING PROCESS & COLOR MATCHING
The proof of your artwork is intended for content and position only. The colors shown are only approximated on any computer monitor or laser print. Color appearance may vary from computer to computer depending on color, contrast, and brightness settings on each computer, and surrounding lighting conditions; therefore, colors will appear brighter than they will when printed. Color and ink density on screen proofs approved by you WILL VARY FROM THE PRINTED PRODUCT. The color match to previously printed products is not guaranteed and we are not liable for the final color appearance of a product with UV coating.
If you require an EXACT COLOR MATCH to a previously printed product, we can quote you the price to "call out" that special color to make sure of a match, and prices will vary based on product chosen.
As the Client, you are solely responsible for final approval of a proof and for certifying its adequacy and accuracy, plus no credit will be issued resulting from mistakes contained in, but not marked on a proof. One Step Services is not responsible for low resolution images, spelling, grammar or any other design related errors after proof approval, so please review your files carefully before approving. By approving via email of a proof for production, you affirm that you understand and agree to the above and that you give your approval to send a file to print.
Published and quoted prices for products and services are subject to change from time to time without notice. The quantity of products ordered and paid for by you may exceed the quantity of products actually mailed by us due to the elimination, prior to mailing, of duplicate addresses, addresses subject to “no mail” requests, and other reasons, and you will not be entitled to a refund or credit with respect to any order when this occurs. All fees charged for printed materials include the printing and sales tax plus creative and/or print supervision fees for the product.
Delivery of Products
One Step Services will use commercially reasonable efforts to deliver each order placed by you to the United States Postal Service (“USPS) or other third party carrier, as specified by you when the order is placed, within our stated turnaround time. In no event will Deluxe Branded Marketing be liable to you or any third party in any way for any delay in doing so. Further, you agree that in no event will One Step Services be responsible for any failure or delay in the delivery of any order caused by the USPS or other third party carrier.
Letterhead and Envelope Printing
Please be advised that due to the porous (Absorbent) nature of the paper used in the printing of your letterhead/envelopes, images and colors will not print as they appear on your computer monitor. We take great care to provide you with the best possible quality, but we are unable to deliver printing results (Sharpness and clarity) consistent with printing on glossy paper as used on postcards and business cards. The difference can most easily be compared to an image in a glossy magazine and a newspaper. It is also possible to find slight variations in the colors throughout your letterhead/envelope run and from one order to another.
YARD SIGNS/LARGE FORMAT PRODUCTS
Our 90 day guarantee warrants that products do not contain manufacturing defects, and, if the product fails due to a manufacturing defect during the 90 day time period, we will replace the product. One Step Services reserves the right to investigate the claim and determine whether or not the failed product is covered by our guarantee. One Step Services makes no warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to, warranties for outdoor signs in areas of high winds or due to natural disasters.
Mailing Piece Production Set-Up: $13.00 (minimum set-up fee per order) The $13 production fee includes the initial proof plus two revised proofs. After that, there will be a $10 charge per revised proof initiated by the client. Each proof will be numbered to help the client keep track of costs. This applies to production pieces only. Custom designs are charged at $75/hour with unlimited proofs.
Property Flyer/Brochure Production Set-Up: $16.00 for 1-sided flyers; $19 for 2-sided flyers: $75 flat rate for 11x17 brochures
Custom Design: $75/per hour (billed by the minute tracked on the job)
All mailed orders will incur the following charges in addition to any design fees, printing fees and postage: $7 postal processing fee. If you have a database on file with us, there is no charge to use an existing list, but if your order requires a new database setup, there is a $10 per data file charge added to your order.
All artwork that is ordered and subsequently canceled or put on hold after being typeset/designed is subject to current accrued design fees, and shall be billed accordingly.
For tracking purposes, we have added two additional mailing pieces called "seeds." One will be sent to our office and one will be sent to your billing address, both at the same postage class as the rest of your order. If you have provided a different seed address, your piece will be sent there.
One Step Services Mailing Division only acts as the preparation agent of mail piece orders. We cannot guarantee delivery to all or any recipients at any time by the US Postal Service, nor can we guarantee delivery times from the United States Post Office. A proof of delivery and entry to the US Post Office is kept on-file for every order. These certificates are available for review upon request. Time-dated or time-sensitive mailings cannot be guaranteed to arrive within a specified period of time, and requesting that such a mailing be put into the system as bulk/standard mail is at your own risk of possible delay. We will not resend any mailings at our cost due to post office processing delays. One Step Services IS NOT responsible for damage caused by USPS equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, scuff marks, stamp cancellation ink smears, tears, “burn” marks, etc. These marks sometimes occur during the postal delivery process, as One Step Services never releases printed product that does not meet our high quality standards. We will not resend any mailings at our cost due to post office equipment damage and we work tirelessly as a group with other bulk mailer vendors to remedy these known issues when possible.
Sales tax does not apply to the sale or use of printed sales messages which are (1) Printed to the special order of the purchaser; (2) Mailed or delivered by the seller, the seller’s agent or a mailing house acting as the agent for the purchaser, through the United States Postal Service or by common carrier; (3) Received by any other person at no cost to that person who becomes the owner of the printed material. By formally approving your design proof, you hereby authorize One Step Services to act as your agent in both the acquisition of the printed pieces and subsequent mailing (through their mailing division) via US Postal Service of the printed sales messages and further certify that: “The items I am purchasing are printed sales messages and that the printed sales messages to which this exemption applies will be delivered by the seller of the printed pieces to the agency/ mailing house designated below, acting as my agent, through the United States Postal Service or common carrier at no cost to another person who becomes the owner of the printed material. If any such printed material is delivered other than as specified above, I understand that I am required by the Sales and Use Tax Law to report and pay tax, measured by the purchase price of such property."
**In the event that your mailed piece does not qualify as a "printed sales message" under the definition of such material described in Regulation 1541.5 of the Sales & Use Tax Law, the printing we purchase on your behalf will be subject to applicable sales tax and the exemption will not apply.
One Step Services is hereby relinquished from any copyright infringement that may result from the use of client submitted and or used photos, images, logos, artwork and copyrighted text from other sources. One Step Services retains all rights and interest to digital conceptual design files and will NOT furnish finalized native artwork to our clients for reproduction.
Security of Data and Storage
The uploading or supplying of data or material to us is done at your own risk. You are responsible for taking all necessary precautions to protect the transmission of your materials to us and One Step Services will in no case be responsible for the loss of any such data or material.
Electronic (including wired and wireless) communications through email or our web site may not be encrypted. You acknowledge that there is a risk that data, including email, electronic and wireless communications and personal data, may be accessed by unauthorized third parties when communicated between you and One Step Services.
Limitation of Liability
In no event will One Step Services have any liability or obligation to you with respect to any products or services purchased by you from us in an aggregate amount greater than the amount paid by you for the order in question, less the aggregate postage included in that price. Under no circumstances will One Step Services or its affiliates, agents, employees, or licensors (including third party service providers) have any liability or obligation to you and/or any third party for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses, or any direct or indirect, incidental, special, exemplary or consequential damages, even if One Step Services has been advised of the possibility of such damages, that, directly or indirectly, result from or arise out of (a) any product or service purchased from us or any delay in the delivery of any such product or service; (b) the use of any third party data; or (c) the use of, or the inability to use, our web site or email services, whether arising out of breach of contract, negligence, strict liability in tort, or any other cause of action. Applicable law may not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
Because some states prohibit the limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, in such states the limitation of liability (only with respect to consequential or incidental damages) may not apply to you, and the respective liability of One Step Services and its affiliates, agents, employees and licensors (including third party service providers) is limited to the greatest extent allowable under applicable law in those states. In the event that a court or arbitration panel, as the case may be, should hold that the limitations of liabilities or remedies available as set forth in this User’s Agreement are unenforceable for any reason, or that any of your remedies under this Agreement fail, then you expressly agree that under no circumstances will the total, aggregate liability of One Step Services and its affiliates, agents, employees and licensors (including third party service providers), to you or any party claiming by or through you for any cause whatsoever exceed $1000, regardless of the form of action and whether in contract, statute, tort or otherwise.
